Athlete Development Program (ADP)

Train with purpose.

Learn with direction.

Perform with confidence.

The Athlete Development Program (ADP) at SCSA is a specialist dual-focus pathway for student-athletes who are serious about their sport and committed to their learning.

ADP is designed for identified and emerging athletes who want more. More intent in their preparation, more clarity in their pathway, and more support around their development.

At SCSA, success in sport and success in learning never compete; they strengthen each other.

The ADP Learning Experience

ADP is purpose-built for Years 9-12 and blends learning with the real rhythm of an athlete’s life.

Students meet Australian Curriculum and SACE requirements, but the way they learn is transformed through authentic, project-based experiences connected to sport, recreation and sport-business environments.

Learning is:

  • Interdisciplinary and hands-on
  • Connected to real-world sport contexts
  • Designed to build confidence, communication, resilience and leadership
  • Focused on decision-making, collaboration and problem-solving

Students take on meaningful roles – analyst, designer, coach, storyteller and more, while building strong foundations in English, Maths, Science, HPE and History.

Most importantly, students are known, supported and challenged to grow as learners, athletes and people.
