Identified Player Program
Adelaide United & Sports College SA
A visionary, inclusive and authentic college, Sports College South Australia (SCSA) is proud to offer a purpose-driven learning environment that places the needs and aspirations of young footballers at its heart. In partnership with Adelaide United, the Identified Player Program is a co-education opportunity for players recognised by Adelaide United as having the potential to play at a very high level. This program is unlike any other football program in Australia.
Our environment is inclusive, energetic and team-oriented. Students are empowered to grow through a culture of respect, fun and high standards. They’re guided by passionate staff who are deeply invested in their progress – as players, learners, and people. This is more than a school. It’s a training ground for life – where football meets education, and where passion and potential come together. Together with Adelaide United, we are building the future of football and supporting young players every step of the way to give each of them the best chance to achieve their dreams.
Connection to the Elite Football Industry
Through our partnership with Adelaide United, students in the Identified Player Program experience direct connection with the football industry at the highest level. They train, learn, and grow alongside professionals, gaining insight and exposure to the demands and opportunities of elite football.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At SCSA, learning happens where football happens. Students develop their skills in professional training environments, club facilities, and match-day settings, all while meeting their educational goals.
Our program blends classroom learning with industry immersion, guided by experienced teachers and football professionals who understand what it takes to succeed in both areas.
Personalised Support On and Off The Pitch
Every student in the program is supported by a dedicated ‘learning and athlete development team’ made up of a teacher, mentor, and other key roles who know them as a person, a student, and an athlete.
A Nation-Leading Program for Football Learner Athletes
While completing their SACE, students in the Identified Player Program train every day, accessing a unique and personalised football and education pathway developed with Adelaide United for high-potential development. Alongside their training, learner athletes engage in a comprehensive high-performance provision, including mental skills, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and personal branding.
