Our boys enjoyed a convincing win over CBC on Tuesday, finishing 87–46 in a hard fought battle. It was a strong all-round performance, with the boys controlling the game from the outset and maintaining pressure across all four quarters.
Strong midfield work from Ned McKinnon, Cody Harrold, and Jake Hughes helped generate clean stoppage exits and quick forward entries. Up front, Declan Coombs and Lincoln Boss capitalised with speed and creativity, hitting the scoreboard and creating opportunities. Ned McKinnon was named Best on Ground for his outstanding impact on the game. Declan Coombs bagged 4 goals, while Tyler Brown added 3 of his own. Lincoln Boss was impressive throughout with his creativity.
Coach Raeph Caesarowicz praised both sides’ intent, with Sport College’s ball movement being the key difference. Our transition from the back half was exceptional, controlling possession, hitting short inside 45 targets, and changing lanes with speed and efficiency. He continued by stating, “I was incredibly proud of the boys for how they dominated the football today. They were composed and stuck to the game plan against a quality side. We had 10 players making their debuts, and they never looked out of place. A great day overall.”
A special mention must go to our girls, who played a vital role on the day. From goal umpiring and scoring to capturing match-day content, their support and energy contributed to the overall success of the day.
