The 2025 SANFLW season has been one to remember for Jas, Footy student mentor at South Adelaide Football Club and proud member of the club. It’s been a year marked by historic milestones, team success and personal reflection.
Jas says that every time she steps onto the field, representing the club and the southern community, it’s a privilege she never takes for granted. “Sharing the field and the locker room with such incredible teammates, coaches, and staff makes every moment meaningful,” she said.
This season brought achievements that will go down in history. Jas became the first player in SANFLW history to reach 100 games, was named Back Pocket in the Advertiser Team of the Year, played in her sixth grand final and celebrated her fourth premiership. Most notably, she became the first SANFLW player inducted as a Life Member of the South Adelaide Football Club, an honour she describes as both humbling and unforgettable.
“To be recognised in this way by a club that has given me so much over the years is incredibly special,” Jas said. “I feel proud and grateful to be part of its history.”
Reflecting on the season, Jas shared that perspective on these achievements will come with time, but for now, she feels thankful for the experiences, the people and the opportunities footy has provided her.
She also acknowledged the support of the AFL South team; Tim, Alistair, and Xav, and the wider Sports College SA community. “Your encouragement and belief mean more than you know. This wouldn’t have been possible without you,” she said.
Jas’s 2025 season highlights not only her dedication and skill but also her leadership as a mentor to students and the strength of community and teamwork that define South Adelaide Football Club. It’s a year of milestones, memories and inspiration, one that will be remembered for years to come.
