Sports College SA Scholarships
SCSA and our partners are pleased to announce that Scholarships are available for Year 11 and 12 Students in South Australia for the 2025 academic year. Scholarship applications are welcome by any students who are offered a place within one of our programs.
Scholarships are open to all SCSA applicants who meet the criteria. Additionally, there are Indigenous Scholarships available. Indigenous young people who are passionate about sport are highly encouraged to apply. The four Scholarships available are Excellence, Equity, Female and First Nations.
Scholarship students, in addition to completing senior secondary education with the College, will have the opportunity to undertake high-quality personal development at the College.
This development will be accessible in a supportive learning environment that enables all to build up a portfolio of work and academic skills, through hands-on learning, linked strongly to the sport and recreation industry. Further, all will have significant opportunities to develop networks, unique experiences and create a planned, personalised and suitable pathway to employment and/or higher education.
Scholarships
Excellence
SCSA Excellence Scholarships are designed for Year 11 and Year 12 students who can demonstrate authentic excellence in one or more specific categories.
Categories may include:
- Genuine elite-level participation and performance in a sport
- An ability to demonstrate exceptionally high potential in leadership
- An ability to be an ambassadorial member of the student body
- An ability to demonstrate high potential for exceptional outcomes academically
- An ability to demonstrate support to and promoting of wellbeing within a school and/or sports community
Application Process
Excellence Scholarship Applications have a 2-stage process:
Stage 1 – Written Application
Stage 2 – Scholarship Interview (Presentation)
- If successful in Stage 1, your application will progress to Stage 2. Successful applicants will then be invited to attend their Scholarship Interview.
- Stage 2 provides applicants the opportunity to prepare a presentation to be delivered during their Scholarship Interview.
Presentations, on average, range from 5-10 minutes. Applicants can use any form of media (written, video, slideshow) for their delivery, and may include items of relevance (photos, trophies, certificates, etc).

Equity
SCSA has a proud history of supporting motivated students to both gain entry into, and thrive, in their education programs – regardless of their background and individual circumstances.
The Equity Scholarships are designed to enable Year 11 and Year 12 students to attend the College who may otherwise not be able to due to one or more factors of disadvantage. This may include a combination of the following:
- Low family income
- Low levels of English
- Individual disability/ies
Most applicants who are awarded an Equity Scholarship are receiving Centrelink income payments.
Application Process
Complete this application form, including all compulsory supporting documents. Applications close on 31st August 2024, for the 2025 school year.
Applicants will receive written confirmation of the outcome of the Equity Scholarship by the end of Term 3.

First Nations
First Nations Scholarships are designed to empower young Indigenous people who are passionate about sport, dedicated to reaching their full potential and committed to using all the unique opportunities that SCSA can provide.
As a scholarship student, in addition to completing senior secondary education with the College, you will have the opportunity to undertake high quality personal general opportunities at the College.

Female Scholarships
This equity based scholarship is designed to support and encourage young women to pursue their passion for sports and education. It offers financial assistance and unique opportunities to engage in industry experiences, empowering female students to develop their skills, confidence, and future pathways at Sports College SA.
Eligibility:
The Female Scholarships are designed to enable Year 11 and Year 12 female students to attend the College who may otherwise not be able to due to one or more factors of disadvantage. This may include a combination of the following:
- Low family income
- Low levels of English
- Individual disability/ies
This equity-based scholarship is exclusively for female students who demonstrate leadership qualities and involvement in community activities. The applicant must have the ability to be an ambassador for the program and sport.
Application Process:
Complete the female scholarship application form, including all compulsory supporting documents. Applications close on 31st August 2025.

Sports College SA Fees
Sports College SA fees for Year 11 and Year 12 students in 2025 are set out below:

Sports Immersion Program | $5,770 | $3,870 |
An additional $100 non-refundable application fee is to be paid during the Enrolment Interview to secure any place that has been offered.
A concession application form will need to be completed by 31 August 2024, for the 2025 School year. To be eligible, you must meet school card criteria and have a current health care card.
What do the Fees Include?
- Tuition expenses
- Annual uniform allocation
- Student insurance
- Most incursions and excursions*
- Provision of a notebook computer and charger (contains all coursework) and extended warranty
- Vocational Education and Training Qualifications (VET)
- Camp Fees
- Yearbook
- Graduation Dinner ticket for students
*Additional events, such as the SCSA Cup and Formal which take place each year, are not included in the annual fees
